Well organised by moduleUseful adjunct - however some glaring errors - for example in one question the indications for cell salvage are incorrectly referenced to 2010 CEACCP article when there are new 2018 cell salvage guidelines available and these mean some of the explanations given are plain wrong. An anaphylaxis/allergy question is incorrect also based on current guidelines and NAP 6 findings.Still its mostly correct I think? Perhaps needed a further proof read for a few typos also.

I have found this book an extremely useful one as part of preparing for the Final FRCA written exam. The layout is easy to navigate and as it is set out by subject for each chapter it allows for focussed exam practice, as well as a mock exam at the end. One of the most valuable aspects of the book is (along with detailed explanation of the "most correct" answers) a reference to the relevant article or paper which, if necessary, allows you to read around subjects that may be weak points in your knowledge. Overall I would recommend this book for anyone wanting to get as much practice at SBAs prior to the real exam.

Totally original high quality questions.Well referenced explanations.Good introduction on SBA technique from the examiners side. Helpful when reading new questions. A MUST for anyone taking the FRCA or equivalent.

Several glaring mistakes. Some chapters have very outdated or unconventional terminology.Old references given this was published in 2019. I’m not convinced this book is really that helpful...
