This shelf is a good item. Well built, strong mounting brackets, hardware included, and looked nice. The wood feels a little “raw”, meaning there isn’t a sealant on it, but that could be remedied or you might be going for a more natural wood feel. We needed a shelf for our shower remodel plans. We chose a teak shower bench and are happy with the design of that. This shelf just didn’t match the style of the bench, so we returned it without installing it. We ended up buying a second shower bench and taking the wood from it to construct a matching shelf. For our purposes, this solution was better than having a shelf that was a different style of teak/construction. As I said, nothing wrong with the product, it just wasn’t what we were looking for in our project. One thing to mention, it is rather deep, so it’ll stick out from the wall a fair amount. We want to optimize the space in our shower remodel, so we needed a shelf that was shallower.

I bought a couple of these for outside use on our back patio - where they would be partly shielded from the elements, but to match in with Teak patio furniture. They look as good as the photos, with a rich, well oiled, smooth finish, not unfinished teak like so many other vendors. Mounting was only a little bit tricky, and the tiniest downside to this product. The mounting is hidden, by way of four "keyhole" screw slots along the back edge of the shelf. Lining up the screws to get a good fit required testing and measuring each shelf, as the keyholes moved around by about 1/8" from shelf to shelf. I chose to use different screws, since I was mounting into brick and mortar, and these shelves have worked out great for me. They are supporting a couple of pounds of weight each, and no signs of fading, drooping, deforming or anything else. Well made, and would probably look great in a modern spa style bathroom. Cheers !

I bought this for my walk-in shower and it gives a nice contemporary look. Much better than any metal or plastic contraption. I mounted it by drilling through the back board rather than using the slots, which is much easier and more secure. I even took it a step further and added some construction adhesive to the back side before mounting it. It's very sturdy. It has only been a month, but I'm certain that if I maintain it properly with teak oil, it will last for years.

I’m using this as a wall shelf on my patio fence for a statue. It looks great and holds up well.

I wanted a shelf I could put on the wall inside a room. Since the description said that it could be used indoor or outdoor, I assumed I could mount it where I needed it. First off, the instructions given indicated that a cement drill needed to be used. That should have been a clue. I got some drywall molybolts and tried with those. Not only was it difficult to hang after the bolts had been screwed in the wall, but the drywall bolts did not remain in place. This item, though beautiful, apparently cannot be used except with concrete and concrete bolts. When I returned it using the label they provided, I was given a refund. However, it was not a full refund. They docked me for return postage. I won't be ordering from AquaTeak in the future. I had to return it as not usable inside a normal room. The distance between screws also insures that one cannot find studs into which screws can be placed. I'm very disappointed.

We were looking for a teak shelf that would compliment our teak shower seat. After rubbing on some teak oil it matched perfectly. Well made teak shelf. Not light weight, if that’s what your looking for. I highly recomend this shelf.

The mounting anchors were not adequate for the weight of the shelf. The anchors would work better on a tiled wall. Love the wood.

To start I have purchased several AquaTeak benches/ products. Love them all. This is good solid shelf- no question!. It is built well & Looks great. Issue 1.- Is that only one side is display ready. The TOP does not look like the BOTTOM. Ordinarily this is no big deal. However, the description and the photos FAIL to mention this. I was forced to mount mine upside-down. Issue 2.- Is the mounting. Can do better guys! The site description "Shelf can be used for products such as towels, vases, pictures, soap and other amenities or accent items. Product Holds up to 10 LBS" Reality: The three mounting screws are installed in the wall make it a challenge to get the shelf up, secure and tight against the wall. Can be done -Yes but... I planned on not using the included hardware (Holds up to 10 lbs) and going with some type of Floating Shelf Hardware. However, you can not because the shelf is open on bottom. OVER ALL: nice shelf just NOT what I believed I was getting! If I knew I was getting this type of shelf and not a shelf with ALL finished sides This would be a 5 start review.

Solid teak wood- great quality. I’m sending them back because they are a lighter stained finish than I need for my bathroom space. I have a shower bench and bath mat from them through Amazon and they’re a lighter finish so still looking! Beware you will need sturdy wall brackets or hit wall studs. There’s no way these will stay up on a wall with what’s included. Way too heavy.
