They mean I don't have to remember to 'burp' my jars to release CO2 or worry about air getting in due to the one way valve. I also don't need to worry about topping up a water airlock so I really can just set them up and forget about them.

Look ok but don’t fit any of my current pickling jars. Will look out for suitable openings.

Great addition to my fermentations, simple, easy to clean, and kept all of my jars healthy and thriving.

These are meant to be canning lids but the are too flimsy and imploded during pasteurisation. We tried twice to make it work and they were ruined both times....wasting a whole lot of energy and time as we did 8 bottles (2 at a time) for 1.5 hours in a pressure cooker. It took all day for them to have to be done again and again. They are rubbish. Do not buy if you are making anything that needs to be done properly and pasteurised. NOT fit for purpose at all.

Unfortunately, there are a few standards out there in terms jar lid diameters. Based on the product spec provided for these lids, it wasn't easy to tell whether they would fit my Ball and Kilner jars (or even larger mouth, store-bought sauerkraut jars). I took the risk, but in the end the lids were too large for the largest-mouth jars I could find, so had to send them back unused.

Perfect! Just what I was looking for.. makes the whole fermentation process much less bothersome!

Work ok but I’m sooo disappointed by the amount of plastic packaging accompanying this product. Whole thing wrapped in plastic and then each individual lid wrapped in plastic. Won’t buy again because it’s so bad for the environment.

Als Neueinsteigerin beim Thema Fermentation habe ich nach einer handlichen Lösung gesucht. Mit diesen Deckeln in Kombination mit Wide-Mouth Gläsern von Ball funktioniert es sehr gut (bislang verwendet für Sauerkraut und Milchkefir). Ggf. treten am Anfang der Fermentation 1-2 Tropfen aus, was zu leichter Geruchsbildung führt. Dürfte aber normal sein und finde ich nicht störend.

Sehr gute Qualität, Gläser schließen dicht, nur schade dass man es nicht mitbekommt wenn der Druck entweicht ;-D
