This Dorman Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid is an exact replacement for my Hyundai Santa Fe with 3.5L engine. It was very simple to replace once I removed the charcoal canister. Working great and so far service light is staying off......yay!!!!!

It works.
Put this on my mom's hyuandai Santa Fe and she hasnt had any issues since. Seems to be made of good quality so I guess we will see about longevity now.

Does fit a 2.7 liter 09 Santa fe. Dealership says you can't get
Exact fit for my 2009 Hyundai Santa fe 2.7 liter. Dealer said I had to buy the whole charcoal canister assembly to get this part. That would have cost me 300 plus dollars. Fairly easy install. Sits right in front of gas tank. Only complaint is that really couldn't tell even putting in my car if this would fit my make year and model. Check engine light went out and can fuel car with it starting now after word.

quality part terrible warranty through amazon
normally it's well worth more to pay extra for a dorman product, however amazon does not stand behind the dorm in warranty therefore turning a lifetime guarantee part into a 30-day only warranty so you might as well get the el cheapo version

Exact part we needed, saved us a bucket load in dealer repair costs
Ordered this for our 2007 Sante Fe. We had problems filling the gas tank, and the nearest dealer is 120 miles away and wanted to run expensive tests with an estimated cost to repair at almost $500. We were able to discover the problem was this canister on our own. It took about 30 minutes to realize it was clogged. We replaced it within 15 minutes once the part was received. Highly recommend, exact replica and have had no problem since. And it saves us $400+.

The Nib isn't long enough to catch in the bracket
When I installed the new Vapor Canister Vent and twisted the canister, the nib wouldn't catch in the bracket hole. I re-installed the original part and it caught every time. I think it's just too short on the Dorman brand and the Vapor Canister isn't installed securely. I'll have to buy another brand.

fixed my evap leak code
fixed my evap leak code (P0455) large leak.It's not my gas cap leak, so the next easiest DIY is to replace canister vent valve. luckily it's not canister crack or gas line leak.

check engine light
it worked fine for week then the light came on again I am going to have it checked by tech next week to verify if this is the problem.had it checked today and it showed that this solenoid was causing the check engine light to come on so where do I go from here maybe I might have buy one from the dealer regards norm
