Poor Material and Quality Control
I bought this as a gift, but when opening the package I found that one of the character's wands was snapped off. Not only this, but the broken part wasn't in the packaging. In other words, the damage occurred at the factory itself, but then the broken model was just stuffed into the packaging and sealed up anyway. Unfortunately I've read a lot of reviews only after I made the purchase and has read that this has been happening across the board due to the poor quality of resin used. Knight Miniatures themselves seem to have admitted this now by releasing a "second edition" of the game less than a year after it launched, primarily to upgrade the quality of the resin and card used in their products. Unfortunately that isn't any help to people who already purchased the inferior models from the original run...I have emailed the company to ask for a replacement.The only reason I gave two stars instead of one was because the level of detail in the sculpts is genuinely impressive. If only they'd used some higher quality resin to do those sculpts justice...
