Stubby 15-in-1 Screwdriver Set with Pivoting Handle

I bought one of these at a local lumber yard and liked it so much that I bought several more when I found them on Amazon.. They are quite handy. They fit easily in a pocket, and the pivot gives them a reasonable amount of power. I dropped one off the pier, and it stayed in the water for about a year. It worked fine after washing off the mud. My only complaint is the variable grip of the bits. On one of the drivers the bits are a little hard to remove, as observed by another reviewer. On another one they are a little too loose, and tend to fall out. The one that spent a year in the lake is my Goldilocks one--just right. I guess the factory's quality control could stand a little improvement.

the title may sound like I don't like it, but I do, with reservations. It is great to carry in vehicles and have handy for quick jobs at home or in the office.It is not a good replacement for a full-sized and high quality screwdriver, however, as it is short and the bits are a little soft.2 points for handiness. It would be 5 points if the tips could be removed without pliers.3 points for ergonomics. Of course, ergonomics and handiness are often mutually exclusive.3 points for tip quality. They are soft and ill-fitting.0 points for not having a magnetic tip holder. A magnetic tip really helps hold the screw on the tip to get the screw positioned. And, as previously mentioned, it is extremely difficult to remove the tips without pliers.I don't know how long it will last, as it gets only intermittent use.

This handy little tool has helped me more times than I can count in the 2 months I've had it. I carry it around in my laptop bag so that I have it both at work and at home. The ratcheting feature is really helpful as well. Everyone who does not own a giant toolbox full of different screwdrivers should own one of these. Heck, even those that do ought to own one of these anyway because of its convenience and portability. This is one of the best small purchases I've ever made.
