The knife was okay at first. I bought it as a boot knife to keep in my work boot as a backup to my backup. It fit well in my boot. It came to me razor sharp, which was awesome. However, within 3 days it started to pop out of the sheath on it's own, which I thought would become a safety concern down the road. A few days later i ended up breaking 1/8" off of the tip, and with this particular knife. That was quite a bit. That very same day, I said the hell with it and put it on my belt loop. Sadly, either due to my luck, or ling ling's build quality, the sheath broke off the belt clip and the knife was lost at the bottom of the lake. I guess I was just too hard on her. Oh well.

Again, glad I waited for this knock-off, well worth the $$. I riveted an extra “tooth” onto the retainer clip, now its perfect.

I really like the design, quality, and value of this knife and sheath. It is a great last ditch self defense knife with retention so that you can use both hands while still holding the knife. It is well built and would get 5 stars if it had a better clip. One that holds the sheath securely onto your belt when you draw is necessary. You can solve this problem with an Ulti-Clip and the knife is cheap enough that you might not mind purchasing one with it. I have only been using it for a few weeks but if it really is D2 steel it should be pretty durable.Note: Some people have stated that the sheath does not have good retention, I believe this is do to them putting the knife in the wrong way. The retention is perfect on mine.Also: I did receive the wrong knife at first (C1965, It was nice enough that I was tempted to keep it) but they shipped me the correct knife before I sent back the old one and got it right away.

Seems to be a pretty good knife for the price.Mine was very sharp out of the box (had no issue shaving some hair off of my arm). The machining for the edge was pretty straight. I've been heavily using it to cut up cardboard boxes since I got it and the edge seems to be holding up pretty well. I'm not sure if the blade is real D2 steel, but for the price, this knife seems to be a solid deal.Others reported issues with the sheath not having very good retention. I've had the opposite be the case: the retention of my sheath is super tight. It is much easier to pull the sheath off my belt or pocket than it is to get the knife out of the sheath. I've adjusted how I remove the knife from the sheath and with some practice it seems to be no issue now. I take some comfort in knowing that the knife will never accidentally come out of the sheath while being carried.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to using this knife in my EDC rotation.

The blade is simple, clean and cool. I approve. The scabbard is crap however. The knife fits fine but there is zero retention. It just slides out. There is a small indention on both sides of the sheath where I can see someone attempted to form a clip of sorts in the kydex to hold the blade. Whomever is making your sheaths needs to do a little better because as much as I like the knife the sheath is utterly useless which sucks because I have neither the material or knowledge to make a knife sheath.

Always loved the "this knife will keal" from dave markida but the price tag on those special knifes are way up there!!. The blade is worth this price, no issues there. The sheath, however, is literally dangerous. Strangely, it's formed kydex, just not to this specific knife. It slides in and immediately upon being moved, slides right back out. It's not even close. So, be prepared to either modify this sheath or make a new one. I opted to make a new one and I'm very happy with it.

Excellent knife. Came hair popping scalpel sharp. Great retention on the sheath. Overall great quality, and great knife for the money. My only complaint is the retention clip isn't great for clipping it to your pants pocket. It works great for IWB over a belt though. Would buy again.
