Sharon Shinn is an American author who writes science fiction and fantasy books. She is a self-described "science fiction and fantasy aficionado, who loves to read and write." To date, she has written more than forty books. Shinn is most known for her science fiction books. Her first sci-fi novel was published in 1989 and it was called "The Telling." Her other sci-fi novels include "Exile," "The Ruin," "The Farthest Shore," "Seed of Destruction," "Seeds of Rebellion," "Seeds of Hope," and "The Language of Souls." Shinn's science fiction books mostly fall into two categories: Human-alien interaction, and parallel worlds. For example, her first sci-fi novel, "The Telling," is about aliens that can only be seen by seeing the future. Another example is her 2006 novel, "Exile," which explores the effects of an intergalactic war. She also writes fantasy books. Her first book with this genre was published in 1992 and called "Glass Magic." Her other fantasy books include: "Glass Magic II," "Magic City," "The Runaway Queen," "Embers of War," "Embers of Peace," "Embers of Love," "Embers of War II: The Stone Mage Saga," and the upcoming novel, "God's Warrior Princess."
